French mother told her son blew himself up in Syria by SMS

The French Newspaper “Libération” said that Dominique Ponce has received an SMS, in which she has been informed that her son Nicolas,30, has been killed in Syria.
Nicolas has blown himself up with another jihadist with a booby-trapped truck in Homs area in 22 December.
The shocked mother said “we did not expected such thing, at the beginning his convert to Islam was not a dangerous matter, but what he has done is really dangerous.”
The mother told the newspaper that she informed that French authorities about his travel to Syria, but no one called her, only a message was sent to tell her that both of the Interior and Foreign Ministries are aware of this file.
She added that the authorities should combat who recruit the young men, for this reason I am telling my story to make other families move.
