Fresh video footage of Syrian Army advances in west Palmyra

The Syrian Army (SA) made several advances in east Homs this week, liberating large chunks of territory from the Islamic State (ISIS) militants.

On Thursday, the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Legion and Shaheen Group liberated the strategic Jihar Crossroad, paving the way for their advance to the Hayyan Gas Fields, which are 40km west of Palmyra.

The following day, the Syrian Arab Army stormed the Hayyan Gas Fields, striking the Islamic State militants from two different flanks.
