Tehran substitute Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami derided the hegemonic powers for attempt to revive terrorist Mujahedeen Khalq Organization (MKO).

He made the remarks in the second sermon of the Friday Prayers.

Khatami said that the MKO has the darkest record before Iranians and that they have carried out 17,000 assassinations against the innocent people as part of their criminal record.

Whatever you currently hear about Daesh (ISIS), has happened in 1981-82 in Iran by MKO.

The MKO worked with Iraqi Army under Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein regime when they invaded Iran in 1980 and continued with collaboration with Saddam Hussein army by killing Iraqi Shia Muslims living southern Iraq and the Iraqi Kurdish population and now are cooperating with ISIS in Iraq and Syria to kill Muslims.

The MKO is receiving large amount of money from the Saudi government for espionage against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Ayatollah Khatami regretted that certain governments are chanting the slogan of campaign against terrorism, but, are supporting MKO, indicating that their agenda is not human rights and confrontation with terrorism.

Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami praised late Imam Khomeini for his decision in 1988 to put to death the MKO members and called it a Quranic work which served the nation.
