Al-Alam correspondent according to Lebanon intelligence report that Salafist fugitive cleric sheikh Ahmad Al-Assir arrested in Beirut airport.

Lebanese authorities detained fugitive Salafist Sheikh Ahmad al-Assir at Beirut’s Rafik Hariri International Airport after more than two years on the run, security sources told The Daily Star Saturday.

He attempting to escape to Egypt on a forged passport, NNA field reporters disclosed today.
