Gaza court issues verdicts against three spies

A military court in the Gaza Strip has convicted on Thursday three men for collaborating with the Israeli occupation.

The court has sentenced a man convicted of collaborating with Israeli occupation to death and another to life imprisonment on the same charge. A third man was also sentenced for eight years in prison.

The court stressed that the first person who faces death penalty, is convicted in absentia as he fled Gaza during his arrest years ago. He was charged for his direct role in murder.

The second suspect, 44-year-old, was sentenced to life imprisonment plus 20 years for collaborating with the occupation.

The third convict, 30-year-old, was sentenced to eight years in prison on the same charge.

The sources pointed out that all the three men could still file appeals against their convictions.
