Iran says the ongoing Israeli carnage of Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip exemplifies the barbaric nature of the Tel Aviv regime.

“The ferocious massacre of defenseless Palestinian women and children since the start of the holy [fasting] month of Ramadan puts the seal of approval on the savagery and the barbaric nature of a regime which resorts to every tool to reach its objectives,” Iran’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

The ministry said the strategy pursued by the Tel Aviv regime is to split Muslim lands and strike a blow to the anti-Israeli axis of resistance.

“At a time the Zionist enemy is concentrating its mind on the annihilation of the basic rights of the Palestinian people, the only way to confront the Zionists’ bullying will be resistance,” the statement said.
It also criticized the self-proclaimed advocates of human rights for their silence on the deaths of Gazans.

“The Zionist regime is incessantly Judaizing the holy al-Quds and changing the Islamic identity of Beit ul-Moqaddas,” the statement said.

More than 740 Palestinians have been killed in 17 days of Israeli aerial and ground offensives in the besieged Gaza Strip.

According to Palestinian human rights group estimates, 81 percent of those killed in Gaza since Israel first launched its ongoing offensive on July 8 are civilians.

Tel Aviv has so far targeted more than 3,250 locations in the besieged strip, completely destroying nearly 500 homes and partially damaging over 2,600.

UN officials say that 70 percent of Gazans do not have access to safe water, as major water wells have been hit directly Israel.

According to the UN, Israeli forces have been killing one Palestinian child every hour over the past two days.
