Over 1,900 people have so far been killed and nearly 10,000 others injured in the Israeli military aggression against Gaza that began on July 8.

Latest tallies show that nearly 470 Palestinian children have so far lost their lives in the Israeli attacks.

On Sunday, the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and Israel agreed on a new 72-hour ceasefire.

According to a Press TV correspondent in Gaza City, seven Palestinians were killed on Sunday.

Hospitals in the besieged Palestinian territory have been receiving patients, most of them children, on a daily basis.

Most of the children who seek treatment at hospitals suffer from burns in explosions. Some of the kids also suffer from trauma.

According to the Press TV correspondent, the materials being used in the Shifa hospital in Gaza City are not suitable.

The Tel Aviv regime imposed a crippling blockade on the Gaza Strip in 2007. Since then, Palestinians in the coastal sliver have gone through difficult times struggling to lead a normal life.

Currently, around 75 percent of war-wounded patients need amputations, according to health officials in Gaza. Hundreds of routine medical operations have been forced to get cancelled in order for doctors to deal with the rising number of emergency cases.
