Gaza massacre exemplifies mossad’s War by Deception

The Israeli regime’s ongoing carnage in the besieged Gaza Strip exemplifies the Zionist regime’s “war by deception” slogan, an analyst writes for Press TV.

“If ever the Israeli military intelligence motto ‘war by deception’ needed exemplification, then it is the current resumption of…slaughter in Gaza,” Finian Cunningham wrote in an article for the Press TV website.

He was alluding to the Israeli intelligence service Mossad’s motto “By Way Of Deception, Thou Shalt Do War.”

Cunningham said the so-called ceasefire recently proposed between Israel and Palestine was also a “cynical charade” aimed at providing the Zionist regime with a “carte blanche to step up its genocide against the Palestinians.”

“It [the ceasefire proposal] was a cynical propaganda stunt, guided by the motto ‘war by deception’,” wrote the analyst.

The Egyptian government on Monday called for a ceasefire between Israel and Palestine and offered to host talks in Cairo between the two sides.

Cunningham said a genuine ceasefire would require that the Tel Aviv regime and its Western sponsors be held accountable for “genocidal policies.”

“A ceasefire is not a temporary respite to reload; it must be the basis for a full political settlement that is underpinned by international law and justice,” he wrote.

The Israeli military is going on with its airstrikes on the besieged Gaza Strip while Palestinians are responding by firing a barrage of rockets into Israel.

The latest round of air raids killed several civilians, bringing to 208 the overall death toll of Palestinians killed since Tel Aviv began pounding the besieged region on July 8.

Figures show more than 1,500 Palestinians have been also injured in the ongoing assaults.
