Dozens of university graduates participated in a sit-in on Tuesday outside the cabinet headquarters in the Gaza Strip to demand the government to provide them with public jobs. During the sit-in, Khaled al-Sa’iedi, head of the democratic forum for graduates, called on the government to fulfil the pledges it had made about providing jobs for university graduates in Gaza.

Sa’iedi expressed hope that the government would assume its responsibilities towards thousands of unemployed graduates, especially in light of the worsening economic conditions in Gaza. He stated that a letter in this regard was sent to the cabinet through minister of labor Ma’moun Abu Shahla.
