Gaza’s sole power plant halts production

The only power plant, providing energy for the Gaza Strip, has halted production. The power plant stopped operation after a dispute over tax on fuel between the Gaza’s Energy Authority and the National Unity Government based in the occupied Ramallah. The Gaza-based energy authority says the levying of fuel taxes by the finance ministry in Ramallah is the main reason behind the halt.
