Geneva 2 conference: The first session ended, Evening session to focus on humanitarian issues

The first session between Syria’s official delegation to Geneva 2 Conference and the coalition delegation called “the opposition”, which was limited to a speech by the UN envoy to Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi, ended.

Syria’s official delegation was headed by Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari while the coalition delegation called “the opposition” attended after a change in its formation which proves its subordination and flounder.

UN sources in Geneva mentioned that the UN Envoy to Syria Brahimi talked about finding out common points between the two sides.

The sources added that the evening session will only concentrate on humanitarian issues which Syria’s official delegation insists on.

Meanwhile, Sources close to Syria’s official delegation in Geneva denied what has been circulated about agreements being made between the two delegations, and the first dialogue session will be held afternoon.
