Sunni cleric hails role of Imam Khomeini (RA) in Muslim world

A Sunni cleric from Northern Khorasan Province lauded the efforts of Imam Khomeini (RA) and called him as the herald of unity in Muslim world.
Haj Nazar Akhoond Rastegari, manager of Rahimi Seminary in Jargalan, Northern Khorasan, stressed the importance of unity and following jurisprudence and praised the late founder of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Rouhollah Khomeini (RA) as the greatest herald of Islamic unity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” At present maintaining unity and following jurisprudence are the most important necessities of our country.” and called for full obedience of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

“We, Shia and Sunni Muslims, have to honor the high character of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and his household and maintain our unity by following the memoirs of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), holy Qur’an and Ahlul Bayt (AS).” the Sunni scholar said.

Haj Nazar Akhoond Rastegari also highlighted patience and prevention of intriguing moves as the sole way of gaining honor for Islamic societies and called all Muslim countries to avoid intriguing behaviors.

Manager of Sunni Seminary in Bojnourd referred to the holy book of Islam where God Almighty sent Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) with blessings and the message of unity and demanded Muslims to maintain unity and affection among themselves.

“Those who pursue ways to bring disunity between Shia and Sunni have to know that their efforts are in vain.” and praised the increasing unity among Muslim communities.

Akhoond Rastegari added,” Today the enemies have targeted Muslim unity so that they turn it into disunity; therefore, we Muslims are in more need of boosting our solidarity.”
