Grand Ayatollah Taskhiri:Jihad and Martyrdom enriches our culture

Head of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought highlighted the import role of Jihad and Martyrdom in Muslims countries.

Speaking in the seminar of “Independence and freedom; product of sacrifice and martyrdom “ ,held in Afghanistan, Head of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri said, “Jihad is the way toward martyrdom and also is the way for enriching our cultures,” reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

“We should respect and appreciate Mojahes because through the culture of Jihad and Martyrdom Muslims are able to defeat the arrogant governments,” the grand Ayatollah mentioned.

Mohammad Ali Taskhiri went on, “The arrogant world follows four goals in Muslim countries, the first one is making division in the Islamic World ; the second goal is lagging Islam behind, and the third one is making division between religion and Muslims life.”

The grand Ayatollah pointed to the last goals that western countries and the regime of Israel follow in the Islamic World and said,” arrogant world see their interests in danger, that is the reason why they are trying to remove the culture and the spirit of Jihad and Martyrdom.”

“Two events in the ۲۰th century foiled the plots hatched by the arrogance,” said Head of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought stating that one of these events was the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and the other one was the Jihad of Afghan people.”

“The Jihad of Afghan people defeated the Soviet Union and faced the country with Fiasco,” Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri added in his speech.

The seminar of “Independence and freedom; product of sacrifice and martyrdom “aimed at reviving the culture of Jihad in Afghanistan and commemoration of Afghan martyrs.

Introducing the martyrs of Jihad in Afghanistan, making the youths familiar with the concept of Jihad were among the topics discussed at the conference.
