great Satan US general ‘mad as hell’ about Afghan insider attacks

The US commander of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) says he is “mad as hell” about the so-called insider attacks against the US-led foreign forces in Afghanistan.

“I’m mad as hell about them, to be honest with you,” General John Allen said on Saturday.

“We’re willing to sacrifice a lot for this campaign, but we’re not willing to be murdered for it.”

ISAF said on Sunday that a soldier and a civilian contractor, both American, were killed in the latest insider attack in eastern Afghanistan.

The homemade bombs were the signature weapon of the Iraq war, and in Afghanistan, “the signature attack that we’re beginning to see is going to be the insider attack,” Allen stated.

Insider attacks have increased in Afghanistan over the past few months.

According to ISAF figures, over 50 foreign soldiers, about half of them Americans, have been killed this year in the attacks, in which Afghan soldiers turn their weapons against foreign forces.
