Hama: Syrian Army Repels Fath Al-Sham Terrorists’ Attack on Al-Zara Power Plant

The Syrian army repelled an attack by the Fatah al-Sham Front (the newly formed al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group previously known as al-Nusra Front) on a strategic power plant in Hama province.

The Fatah al-Sham Front attacked the Syrian army military positions near Al-Zara power plant in the Southwestern part of Hama province, the Arabic-language media quoted an unnamed military source as saying on Sunday.

The source added that most of the terrorist groups’ members were killed or injured and their arms and military equipment were destroyed.

In a relevant development on Saturday, the Syrian army targeted the military positions and gathering centers of Fatah al-Sham Front, killing several militants, including their notorious commander.

Abu al-Bara’a al-Chami and eight other terrorists were killed in the town of al-Tamani’a in the Northern part of Hama province on Saturday, the Arabic-language media quoted an unnamed military source as saying.

Meantime, the Syrian air force destroyed the ISIL vehicles some equipped with machineguns

Syrian air force destroyed ISIL vehicles, some equipped with machineguns to the East of al-Khanasser town in the Northeastern part of Hama province.

Meantime, another army unit carried out concentrated bombardments on the supply routes and positions of the terrorists, destroying a machinegun-equipped vehicle loaded with a huge amount of arms and ammunition which was heading towards al-Zara in the Southern part of Hama province.

In a relevant development on Thursday, ISIL’s fierce attempts to advance in the international Salamiyah-Khanasser-Aleppo road in Hama failed due to the rapid and tough reaction of the army and its allies.

The army that was monitoring the ISIL moves near the road inflicted heavy loss and damage on the terrorists in a timely reaction and operations.

Also the Syrian helicopters and fighter jets pounded the ISIL bases in Soha village in the Eastern parts of Hama, killing tens of militants and destroying their military equipment.

Also, on Wednesday, the Syrian army troops repelled the terrorist groups’ offensive on their strongholds near al-Zara power plant in Southern Hama.

Terrorist groups suffered a heavy death toll and retreated from the battlefield under the heavy fire of Syrian soldiers.

Meantime, Syrian Air Forces launched several air attacks on ISIL’s centers in the Southern side of Aqarib and Northern side of al-Mofaker al Sharghiyeh near the town of al-Salamiyah, inflicting major damage and casualties on the militants.
