Hamas holds Abbas responsible for tension in Palestinian arena

The Hamas Movement has held Mahmoud Abbas, head of the Palestinian Authority, fully responsible for the repercussions of the state of tension and discontent in the Palestinian arena as a result of his behavior towards the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip.

In a press release on Friday, Hamas accused Abbas of depriving thousands of Palestinian Authority civil servants, prisoners and wounded citizens who support their families in Gaza of their monthly stipends in order to force them to comply with his hostile policies against his own people.

The Movement also condemned the assault on Palestine TV’s office in Gaza and urged the interior ministry to investigate the incident.

It stressed that it would never allow anyone to create disorder and break the law in Gaza under any pretext.
