Hamas lauds mass participation in “founding festival”

The fact that thousands have joined the festival celebrating Hamas’ founding is an indication of Palestinians’ commitment to armed resistance, Hamas spokesman Hazem Kasem said on Sunday evening.

Kasem said the unconditional support provided by the Palestinian masses for Hamas boosts up the group’s high spirits in the face of the Israeli occupation.

“The mass festival celebrating the anniversary of Hamas’ founding gives a message of unity from Gaza to our people in the occupied West Bank”, he added.

Hundreds of thousands joined on Sunday a festival marking the 31st anniversary of Hamas’s founding.
