Hamas leader Dr. Salah Al-Bardawil: Unity gov’t has six months to accomplish its mission

Hamas leader Dr. Salah Al-Bardawil has said that the Palestinian unity government under Mahmoud Abbas, the Fatah and PA chief, has six months to accomplish its mission.

He said that Hamas and Fatah had agreed during the recent Cairo meetings that a new government with a new premier would be formed in the event Abbas’s government failed in its mission.

He explained that the government’s main missions would be reconstruction of Gaza, settling conditions of civil servants, and organizing legislative and presidential elections.

Bardawil expressed optimism that the Palestinian territories would be reunited soon, adding that reconciliation efforts were progressing in the right direction.
