Hamas: March of Return extension of First Intifada

Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem on Friday said that the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are protesting in the Great March of Return for the 37th week which coincides with the 31st anniversary of the First Intifada.

Qasem said in a press statement that the Great March of Return is an extension of the First Intifada which has revived the Palestinian issue around the world.

Now the Great March of Return is defending the Palestinian people’s rights against the conspiracies aimed at liquidating their cause, he added.

He continued to say, “Our just and legitimate struggle will continue until we restore freedom and return, and the Great March of Return will continue until it achieves its goals, foremost of which is to break the siege on Gaza.”
