Hamas refutes news on requesting Algeria to host Hamas leaders

Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, denied that it had asked Algeria to host some of the Movement’s leaders in the wake of the gulf crisis as some Arab countries have boycotted Qatar where many Hamas leaders live.

Addressing a joint conference for the Society for Peace and the Front of Change Movements held in Algiers on Saturday, the Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said “What was published in this regard is null and void”.

Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper (London) quoted on July 17 what it called well-informed Palestinian sources as claiming that Hamas Movement filed an official application with the Algerian authorities asking for hosting some of the Hamas leaders.
