Hamas to US ambassador to Israel: We will dampen your spirits

Hamas on Monday lashed out at the US ambassador to Israel after he threatened to defeat Hamas and retrieve the bodies of captive Israeli soldiers.

The United States Ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, on Sunday attended a ceremony in Occupied Jerusalem dedicating a plaque to captive soldier Hadar Goldin, saying “the US is committed to defeating Hamas and we’re committed to ending the suffering of Israeli parents,” according to the Jerusalem Post.

Friedman further accused the resistance movement Hamas of “terrorism” and “barbarism”.

Responding to the accusations, Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum dubbed them a proof of “the ignorance of the US and its ambassador of Hamas’s strong determination and defensive potentials.

“Blockaded Gaza has unraveled your hypocrisy. Hamas and the Palestinian resistance will dampen your spirits,” added Barhoum.
