Hamas urges world to stand up against Israeli bullying of Gaza charities

Hamas on Wednesday evening urged the international community and human rights institutions to speak up against Israeli persecution of humanitarian organizations and international charities providing aid for Palestinians in the blockaded Gaza Strip.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Hamas spokesman Abdullatif al-Kanou’ slammed Israel’s ongoing harassment of relief organizations and arbitrary abduction of their representatives in Gaza. He warned of the “tragic upshots” of such measures on the reconstruction process and humanitarian situation in the besieged coastal enclave of Gaza, blockaded for the 10th year running.
