Hamas warns of looming health crisis to hit Gaza

The Movement Hamas on Thursday warned of a rapidly unfolding health disaster in Gaza, dubbing the unity government’s foot-dragging on the crisis “a national crime.”

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said the health situation in Gaza is tragic, holding the unity government responsible for the serious ramifications resulting from its persistent neglect of this issue.

For his part, health ministry spokesman Ashraf Qudra also warned of the gravity of the health situation inside hospitals and medical facilities if the government did no solve the issue of unpaid cleaners and other problems befalling the health sector.
