Hamas: Zionist Regime Employing Starvation Tactics Against Over 2 Million in Gaza
The Palestinian Hamas resistance movement has denounced Israel for allegedly employing starvation as a tactic against the population of over two million in the Gaza Strip, accusing it of a blatant breach of international law.

The Palestinian Hamas resistance movement has denounced Israel for allegedly employing starvation as a tactic against more than two million residents in the Gaza Strip, claiming this action constitutes a clear violation of international law.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Hamas declared that the Tel Aviv authorities have imposed a comprehensive blockade on Gaza, lasting for over seventy consecutive days. This blockade has severely restricted the entry of critical supplies, including food, medicine, water, and fuel.
The statement emphasized that the closure coincides with a heightened and harsh military campaign, collectively amounting to what it describes as an act of genocide carried out openly and without consequence by Israeli forces, in full view of the international community.
Hamas has issued a stern warning, emphasizing that the international community’s lack of action, alongside its glaring inability to address war crimes or avert widespread famine in Gaza, signals a troubling erosion of the global order and a failure to uphold international law and humanitarian principles.
The resistance movement has highlighted the dire situation of Palestinians, who continue to face daily fatalities due to airstrikes and starvation. Meanwhile, UN agencies have been criticized for limiting their responses to mere condemnations, which fail to deter a “criminal entity lacking moral or human values.” The World Health Organization (WHO) has raised alarms about increasing malnutrition rates in Gaza as a result of the Israeli blockade, warning that the persistent hunger could have permanent repercussions on “an entire generation.”
Hamas has called on the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the United Nations to take swift and decisive action to stop what they describe as an ongoing genocide and famine. The group is also urging these international organizations to hold Israeli officials accountable for alleged war crimes.
The Israeli military renewed its airstrikes on Gaza on March 18, resulting in the deaths of thousands of Palestinians and causing numerous injuries. This escalation followed the breakdown of a two-month ceasefire agreement with Hamas, as well as the collapse of a deal concerning the exchange of Israeli captives for Palestinian detainees.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli military offensive on Gaza has resulted in the death of at least 52,928 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, with an additional 119,846 people sustaining injuries.
Hamas announced on Monday its readiness to promptly enter into negotiations aimed at achieving a durable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
