Head of Hama Branch of Lawyers Syndicate Refutes News of His Arrest Broadcast by Al-Arabiya

Head of the Hama branch of the Lawyers Syndicate Mohammad Abbas refuted the news of his arrest broadcast by al-Arabiya channel, affirming that this allegation is baseless.

In a statement to the Syrian TV on Tuesday, Abbas said that he was working at the Justice Palace on September 18 – the date when he was allegedly arrested – and signed his daily mail as usual, noting that he refuted the news since the beginning, but he had to stress its falsehood due to the continuous broadcasting of the story.

Abbas said that the story is offensive and reserved the right to respond to the biased channel, reminding them to the journalistic oath of honor that includes not broadcasting any news story before verifying its authenticity.
