Health condition of a Palestinian Prisoner is deteriorating

Gaza- Waed Captive and Liberators Society (WCLS) revealed that the numbers of the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, afflicted with cancer, have increased. Numbers mounted and reached 26, as Mahmoud Abu Saleh was diagnosed with having throat cancer.

Abu Saleh, from Hebron, is serving 25 years in prison, of which he spent 11 years imprisoned. He is being detained in Rimon Military Jail now, WCLS said.

Abu Saleh is subject to the Israeli medical negligence, WLCS added. Israel seeks his death, WLCS confirmed. It is worth mentioning that Maisara Abu Hamdia was afflicted with throat cancer, and killed because of the Israeli medical negligence on March 2013.

The raising number of patients amongst Palestinian prisoners, who suffer from cancer, is concerning, WCLS said. WLCS called on the WHO and the ICRC to stop the Israeli crimes in prisons.

“The biggest problem is silence that the international organisations show towards the cause of the Palestinian prisoners,” WCLS said.
