Members of the Takfiri ISIL terrorist group have executed ten doctors south of Iraq’s violence-scarred northern city of Mosul, as they continue to wreak havoc in the areas under their control.

A local source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said ISIL members executed the victims in Hammam al-Alil area, located some 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) south of Mosul, on Wednesday after the men refused to treat the wounded members of the terrorist outfit, Iraq’s al-Sumaria satellite TV network reported.

Local official Mowaffaq Hamid al-Azawi has described Mosul as a big open-air prison, where residents are subjected to various kinds of torture and are suffering at the hands of ISIL. He added that some scholars in the city even distort religious principles to serve ISIL’s interests.

Meanwhile, ISIL extremists have executed more than 60 members of al-Karableh, Albu Ubaid, Albu Mahal and Albu Salman tribes in the western sector of al-Anbar Province, on the alleged ground that they were in collaboration with Iraqi security forces.

Farhan Mohammed, a member of Anbar Provincial Council, said ISIL Takfiris have also kidnapped tens of civilians in the area, adding that the fate and whereabouts of the abductees remain unknown.

The ISIL started its campaign of terror in Iraq in early June 2014. The heavily-armed militants took control of Mosul before sweeping through parts of the country’s Sunni Arab heartland.

The terrorists have been carrying out horrific acts of violence, including public decapitations, against all Iraqi communities such as Shias, Sunnis, Kurds and Christians.

Iraqi soldiers, police units, Kurdish forces, Shia volunteers and Sunni tribesmen have succeeded in driving the ISIL terrorists out of some areas in Iraq.
