Hezbollah Denounces Terrorist Attack in Diyala: ISIL Still One of the Biggest Threats to Iraq

Hezbollah denounced on Wednesday ISIL’s terrorist attack which targeted Al-Rashad village in Iraq’s province of Diyala and left dozens of victims.

In a statement, Hezbollah maintained that this treacherous attack reveals that ISIL is still one of the biggest threats to Iraq and its national unity, adding the states sponsoring and supporting the terrorist group continue their aggression against Iraq as well as its security and stability.

Hezbollah also voiced solidarity with the Iraqi people, considering that this condemned crime imposes on the Iraqis to be unified and exert the utmost possible efforts to chase the remnants of this criminal organization in order to eradicate it and rid the Iraqis of its evil.

The statement pointed out that the Iraqi people, whose national army, popular mobilization and resistance factions had a long history of fighting terrorism, are able to carry out this mission and protect Iraq from the dangers that threaten it.

Hezbollah, finally, offered the oppressed Iraqi people as well as  its religious, official and partisan leadership deep condolences, hoping Holy God grants the martyrs His Mercy, the injured wellness, and the Iraqis safety as well as prosperity.
