The Lebanese Hezbollah resistance fighters took Qabe’a and Naqqar mountains Northeast of Nahle barrens in the Eastern Lebanon Mountain Range from the Takfiri militants on Monday.

The Hezbollah fighters destroyed a military vehicle of al-Nusra Front Takfiri terrorist group, leaving scores of gunmen killed and injured.

On May 15, Hezbollah declared full control over al-Qalamoun mountains on the Eastern border with Lebanon, after driving out Takfiri militants of al-Nusra Front and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terrorist groups from Moses Hill, the highest peak in the area.

Syria has been grappling with a deadly crisis since March 2011. The violence fuelled by Takfiri groups has so far claimed the lives of over 210,000 people, according to reports. New figures show that over 76,000 people, including thousands of children, lost their lives in Syria last year.

On May 2011, Syrian army launched a wide-scale operation against armed groups and gunmen operating in the country, who started to escape the army blows and infiltrate illegally to Lebanon.
