Hezbollah safeguards Mideast stability

0d6e06b956decbd67387796dd3ea8c5f_LA senior Iranian lawmaker says the role of Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, in safeguarding peace and stability in the Middle East is “significant.”

According to Press TV, Alaeddin Boroujerdi during a Sunday meeting with Lebanese Ambassador to Tehran Fadi Hajj Ali said “Lebanon’s Hezbollah is among the most important factors in protecting lasting peace and stability in the region.”
Boroujerdi, who is the Chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said unity was important for Lebanon in the face of enemy plots.
He called for the further expansion of bilateral ties between Tehran and Beirut in different areas.
Pointing to over two years of foreign-sponsored crisis in Syria, the Iranian lawmaker said, “The developments in Syria showed that world powers cannot use war and massacre to overcome the will of nations.”
Hajj Ali, for his part, underlined the Islamic Republic’s key role in protecting regional peace and stability, hailing the current level of bilateral relations between the two nations.
The Lebanese envoy also called for closer Tehran-Beirut cooperation in economic and commercial areas.
