A key ISIL member involved in the terrorist bombings, which rocked Beirut’s Southern suburb (Dhahiyah) earlier this month, was killed in a joint operation by the Syrian Army and the Lebanese Hezbollah in Syria, sources announced Friday.

The field sources in Syria announced that Abdussalam Abdurrazzaq al-Hindawi, nicknamed as “Abu Abdo” was killed in an ambush by the Syrian army and the Lebanese resistance movement in one of areas controlled by the Takfiri group in Homs countryside.

The sources said that al-Hindawi was tasked with transferring the suicide bombers from ISIL’s stronghold of Raqqa in Syria to Lebanon.

Burj al-Barajneh neighborhood in Dhahiyah was rocked by terrorist bombings in November 12, in which at least 44 people were killed and more than 200 others were injured.

Later, the attack was claimed by ISIL.
