Highlights of Supreme Leader’s remarks to members of Supreme Council of Cyberspace

The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed the necessity of producing reliable and attractive Islamic content on the cyberspace.

According to IRIB World Service, Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, addressing the president and members of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace (SCC) on Monday, referring to the impact of cyberspace as a soft power in different arenas including culture, politics, economy, religious beliefs and ethics, added, “Proper and exact designing is essential for preserving the boundaries of intellectual and moral security of the society on the cyberspace.”

The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei made it clear, “Through usage of young abilities and talents and correct policymaking, calculated and coordinated measures and without losing time, we should move toward exiting from passivity on the cyberspace, and active and effective presence and production of reliable and attractive Islamic content.”

Supreme Leader stated, “An active and effective presence in the cyberspace requires concentration in decision-making, seriousness in implementation without losing time, coordination among different bodies and refraining from parallel and opposite work.

The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei also described as very necessary the planning and support of the government, especially the scientific and technological deputy of the president, for expansion of industries related to the communication technology.

Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei emphasized, “Expansion of these industries through science-based companies will have high impact on job-creation and economic development in the country.”
