Homs Governor meets UN Envoy’s Head in Syria

Governor of Homs, Ahmad Munir Mohammad, has discussed with Mokhtar Lamani, Head of the UN Envoy’s Office in Syria, the situation in Homs province.

Governor Mohammad has emphasized that the role UN could play in clearing the remnants of the destruction caused by the armed groups in Homs and eliminating the Wahhabi mentality exported from regional countries to Syria.

The governor briefed the delegation on the suffering of Homs province from the sabotage acts committed by the terrorists who targeted public, service and infrastructure institutions and tried to disseminate hate and enmity among Syrians.

For his part, Lamani told reporters after his meeting that his field visits to Homs aim at inspecting the situation there.

He stressed that he will make other visits to the province with the aim of finding a solution to the crisis in Syria.
