Homs: Syrian Army Wins Back Strategic Region Near T4 Airbase

The key Ba’ar al-Fawa’ereh region South of T4 airbase came under the Syrian army’s full control after several hours of fierce clashes with the terrorists.

At least 20 ISIL terrorists were killed and many others were injured in tough battle with the Syrian army and popular forces while several others retreated from the battlefield to areas under their control.

In a relevant development earlier on Wednesday, the Syrian army troops and air force continued to target ISIL’s concentration centers and movements in Eastern and Southwestern Homs, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

The Syrian army soldiers targeted ISIL’s defense lines near the T4 airbase, East of the Fourth Station, Ba’ar al-Fawa’ereh region and a region near Jahar crossroad in the countryside of the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur), killing or wounding a number of terrorists and destroying their vehicles.

The army aircraft, meanwhile, pounded ISIL’s gatherings and movements near Palmyra and near al-Quaryatayn in Southwestern Homs.

Also on Monday, the army backed by the country’s air force targeted the military positions of the ISIL and al-Nusa Front (recently renamed to Fatah al-Sham Front) in the Eastern and Northern parts of Homs province, inflicting heavy losses on the militants.

The ISIL’s military positions in Tal al-Morsed, Ba’ar al-Fawa’erah and Tal al-Awamid in the Eastern part of al-Quaryatayn came under the Syrian army’s attacks, resulting in the death of several ISIL terrorists and destruction of four military vehicles.

The Syrian fighter jets also hit the movements and gathering centers of the ISIL terrorists in Mohaseh, al-Baredeh and al-Betra South of the T4 airbase in Eastern Homs, destroying a large number of their military vehicles.

In Northern Homs, the Syrian army’s artillery and missile units targeted the military positions and gathering centers of Fatah al-Sham Front terrorists in the two villages of Azz al-Din and Um Sharhouh which resulted in the destruction of a number of military bases and mortar launchers as well as military vehicles of the terrorists.

The Syrian army also targeted the gathering centers of al-Nusra Front in Talbiseh and its surrounding farms as well as Taldo in al-Houleh in Northern Homs, killing and injuring several terrorists.
