Honour of Islamic Ummah Sayyed Nasrallah to Speak on Hezbollah’s Martyred Leaders Day

 

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah is to deliver a speech on Thursday during the movement’s Martyred Leaders Day ceremony.

In his speech, the resistance leader is expected to tackle the latest developments in Lebanon and the region.

On February 16 from every year, Hezbollah holds a ceremony in memory of its martyred leaders, Sheikh Ragheb Harab, Sayyed Abbas Mousawi, and Hajj Imad Moughneieh (was martyred in 2008).

Sheikh Harb was a prominent cleric in the Islamic resistance in Lebanon (Hezbollah) and had a leading role in fighting the Israeli occupation in Lebanon’s south. He was assassinated by Israeli enemy in February 16, 1984.

Sayyed Mousawi was a former secretary general. He was well-known for his everlasting will of saving the resistance against the Israeli enemy. Sayyed Mousawi was assassinated by an Israeli strike in February 16, 1991 when he was returning to Beirut from a ceremony in memory of Sheikh Harb in Lebanon’s south.

Hajj Imad Moghneieh was Hezbollah’s military commander. He planned for, masterminded and carried out many operations against the Israeli enemy. Haj Moghnieh, who was also known as Hajj Radwan, remain a ghost because he was wanted by international intelligence agencies. He was martyred in a car bomb attack in Damascus in February 12, 2008.
