Hopes for Peace among Muslims in the Region

In a telephone call Wednesday night, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani the new emir of Qatar congratulated the Iranian President-elect on the arrival of Ramadan.
As reported by the president-elect’s official website, in a phone call Wednesday night, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani the new emir of Qatar congratulated Dr.Hassan Rouhani on the arrival of the month of Ramadan.

The emir of Qatar also conveyed his congratulatory message to Dr.Rouhani on election victory and expressed his interest in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iranian president-elect in turn wished the new emir of Qatar, as well as the government and people of the country success and congratulated him over the start of Ramadan.

Rouhani thanked Sheikh Tamim and said: “The sacred month of Ramadan is the month of mercy and love and I hope God will help us make peace and reconciliation between Muslims.”

The president-elect of Iran wished Muslims of the world to live in peace, stability and tranquility.

Emir of Qatar welcomed Rouhani’s remarks and expressed hopes that peace and tranquility will be established among Muslims.

Rouhani and Sheikh Tamim emphasized on strengthening and developing bilateral relations between the two countries on different fields.
