How did Leader of Islamic Ummah Ayatollah Khamenei react to those celebrating his birthday?

In an unprecedented move, on the occasion of the Leader’s birthday anniversary, a ceremony was held on 2007 and some officials were invited to this ceremony.

After receiving the news about this ceremony, Ayatollah Khamenei annotated the paper holding the news: “this is wrong; this birthday and similar events are not worth of celebrating. The organizers of this event are responsible for having wasted time and public property.

I’ll never be thankful to the person celebrating my birthday and will only consider him responsible for this act of wasting.
