Human rights, democracy meaningless for US

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said Human Rights and Democracy are two meaningless words for the United States.

According to Tasnim news agency, emphasizing on being aware of the unilateral acts by the world’s major powers especially the US and on the necessity of taking a position against them, Ramin Mehmanparast stated: “Everyone must know that the mottos on human rights, democracy and fight against terrorism or similar subjects are meaningless for the US.”
Noting that the US has tarnished its image among Iranians, he added: “The US Illegal and illogical sanctions against Iran, supporting the assassination of more than sixteen Iranians, removing MKO terrorist grouplet from its terror list and giving them go- ahead to pressurize the Islamic Republic are all the US hostile acts against Iran.”
Stating that the Americans are trying to prove their claim of changing their policies towards nations, Mehmanparast said: “To prove this claim they should move in the framework of respecting the nations’ rights, and their territorial integrity and sovereignty.”
