Hundreds of Syrians graduate from new police academy in west Damascus

Hundreds of Syrians graduated from the newly established police academy in the Mo’adhimiyah Al-Sham suburb of west Damascus on Tuesday.

The new officers completed several months of training in this camp prior to graduating in front of their peers on Tuesday afternoon.

This new police academy in the Mo’adhimiyah Al-Sham suburb of west Damascus was established by the Syrian Interior Ministry late last year; its purpose is to train local men and women to protect the reconciled areas of the province.

Mo’adhimiyah Al-Sham was surrendered to the Syrian government in the Summer of 2016 as part of a reconciliation agreement with the former militants that controlled the suburb.
