IKCO’s Latest Products Hit Market This Year

Iran-Khodro Company (IKCO), the largest car-manufacturer in the Middle-East, announced on Tuesday that it will produce 5 to 15 thousand Runna passenger cars and more than 20 thousand Soren ELX sedans this year.
“These two sedans are IKCO’s newest products that match C and D segments respectively, while they are supposed to hit foreign markets as well,” the company said.

Runna meets the required safety standards for driver and passengers and it also covers the European pedestrian safety standard as long as the standard has been instituted and introduced in Europe. The car can also gain three star rating by Euro NCAP.

Soren ELX enjoys a modern and desirable design and passengers’ comfort is elevated with introducing a totally new trim, automatic AC, power windows and side-view mirrors and new ergonomic seats. The car with the engine capacity of 1600cc is also equipped with multiplex system. Soren ELX has successfully passed various safety tests and has been approved by well-known international test centers.

IKCO said it emphasizes its commitment to the safety of its cars and respect for customers with introducing Soren ELX to the market.

The Company has announced, its production will reach 850,000 cars in the current Iranian year (i.e. March 20, 2011 to March 20, 2012), 9% of which to be sold in foreign markets.
