Imam Ali Khamenei emphasizes importance of labour, production sector

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, today emphasized respect for the labour force and all those involved in the production sector, adding that this has been highly recommended in Islamic teachings.

According to IRIB, addressing workers, supervisors, mangers, designers and planners of the Iran Power Plant Projects Management Company (MAPNA) at its industrial Complex in Fardis city in Alborz province, west of Tehran, he called Islam’s emphasis on the dignified status in society of the labour force and those involved in the production sector, as a proof of its progressive standpoint.

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei lambasted Marxism, Capitalism and other western ideologies for their exploitative approach to labour and the workforce, with whom the relations of the management are always antagonistic. He said: “In contrast Islam has reiterated respect for labour and those involved in the production sector, recommending due interaction and cooperation, which should be taken into consideration in all social and economic arenas.”

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei pointed out that when the Christian West was living in the dark ages and absolute ignorance, civilized Iran, enlightened by the rays of Islam, presented to human society some great scientific and cultural figures. But, he regretted, when the Western colonialists encroached upon our country to loot and to take control of political, social and economic affairs, they imposed despotic regimes upon us.

Referring to the fact that the era of degrading the Iranian people came to its end with the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Imam Khamenei reiterated that “if the nation wants to reach its deserving status in the world in the various economic, social, political, and cultural arenas for evolving into a hub of scientific progress, we should make determined efforts in the scientific fields with acumen, prudent initiatives, and necessary might in order to move ahead.”

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei then talked about the focal point of the Resistant Economy that is forward-moving in the production sector inside the country, before embarking on an active and effective role in the world markets.

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said that when Iran decided to produce 20-percent enriched uranium, the West did not believe that the young Iranian scientists could achieve this technology only through their talent, initiatives, and good management.

But, Imam Ali Khamenei added, when Iran succeeded in doing so, the world powers are now saying that they are ready to sell us enriched uranium in order to get Tehran to stop its nuclear fuel production.

MAPNA was founded in 1993 with the aim of developing indigenous knowledge production capacity for petroleum facilities, power plants and other industrial facilities, and as a contract management company, as part of the Islamic Republic’s policies for economic and industrial independence from western companies.
