Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei urges scholars to establish modern Islamic civilization

The Supreme Leader received a group of Muslim countries’ ambassadors and invitees to the 29th International Islamic Unity Conference in time with the Birthday anniversaries of the Prophet of Islam and Imam Sadigh (peace be upon them).

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei stated that the main responsibility of the Muslim world, especially for the scholars and intellectuals, is deemed constant and sustained effort in order to breathe the true spirit of Islam and spirituality in today’s world of oppression, discrimination and cruelty; “at the moment, the Islamic world is obliged to move towards establishment of ‘renewed Islamic civilization’ by taking advantage of knowledge and global means as well as the wisdom, prudence and discretion,” His Eminence asserted.

“The renewed Islamic civilization does not mean concurring of lands, violation of human rights or the imposition of one’s ethics and culture like what the Western civilization has done; rather it equals bestowing God’s gift to humanity and enabling human beings with the capability of recognizing the rightful path,” highlighted the Supreme Leader.

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei further referred to the West’s exploitation of Islamic knowledge and philosophy to establish their own civilization adding “even though the Western civilization offers shades of technological beauty, speed, ease as well as life facilities, it would never lead to happiness, prosperity and justice due to suffering from internal contradictions.”

“It’s high time for the Islamic world to take steps towards establishing the modern Islamic civilization,” noted the Supreme Leader asserting “to that end, scholars and intellectuals of the Islamic world rather than politicians need to take enlightening measures among Islamic nations having faith that the establishment of the new civilization is feasible.”

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei further pointed out capacities and capabilities of the Islamic world including good lands, excellent geographical location, abundant natural resources as well as talented manpower; “a mixture of these capacities and the teachings of Islam would lead to artistic creations in all scientific, technological, political and social areas.”

The Supreme Leader evaluated the Islamic Republic of Iran as a manifestation of the possibility for achieving these objectives stressing “compared to the time before the Islamic Revolution, Iran has made significant advances in science and technology turning into one of the top few leading countries in terms of new technologies.”

“The model can be well extended to the entire Islamic world,” noted the Leader adding “the remaining prerequisite is getting rid of superpowers which is indeed a costly endeavor.”

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said the enemies cause discord among Muslims as a tool to prevent the formation of the modern Islamic civilization as it became clear after the dangerous plot of highlighting the distinctions between Shias and Sunnis.

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed the Americans are against the principle of Islam and one should not be fooled by their statements in support of some cults; “previous statements made by the former US president after the September 11th incident were indicators of the arrogant world’s war against Islam.”

Leader of the Islamic Revolution evaluated the US officials’ claims on being in favor of Islam as sheer lies and hypocrisy adding “they are merely trying to create discord among Muslim sects one example being the formation of ISIL and other terrorist groups financial and political support causing the current disasters.”

“Shia and Sunni make no difference to Americans as they are opposed to any Muslim who wishes to live in accordance to Islamic law,’ underlined the Supreme Leader.

“Being against the establishment of Islamic civilization, the US became confused and worried about the trend of Islamic awakening and began to rein the process in all countries,” noted the Leader reassuring that Islamic Awakening will ultimately reach its goals.

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khameneistated that the main aim of arrogance has been to cause civil war among Muslims destroying infrastructures of countries like Syria, Yemen and Libya; “we should not remain silent or surrender to the plot; rather, we need to confront their plans with insight and strength.”

At the end of his remarks, the Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei criticized keeping silent in the face of enemies’ plots urging all Muslims to face the facts and counter the plots.
