Imam Khamenei urges regional vigilance against foreign bids to stoke unrest

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oprpessed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei has called on Egyptians and Iraqis to remain vigilant in the face of foreign attempts to incite unrest in their countries.

In an address to a massive crowd of worshipers during Eid al-Fitr prayers on Tehran University campus on Friday, The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oprpessed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei expressed concern over the tense situation in the region.

The Supreme Leader condemned the Israeli regime’s crimes against the Palestinians, adding that the US-brokered talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority are aimed at undermining the Palestinian resistance.

The Supreme Leader also condemned the terrorist attacks in Iraq and said such acts of terror are carried out to undercut the democratically-elected Iraqi government.

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oprpessed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei further touched on the volatile situation in Egypt, and stated that the crisis in the North African country should be resolved by the Egyptian people.

Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei called on Egyptian political and religious groups to remain on the watch for plots hatched by foreign powers to plunge the country into civil war.
