Imam Khomeini main source behind Islamic Revolution: Senator

Pakistani lawmaker on Saturday said that Imam Khomeini was the main source behind the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

Talking to IRNA Senator Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) said that Imam Khomeini is a great visionary leader who had demonstrated to the world that Islam is a political system.

“Islamic Revolution showed that politics and religion are interlinked,” viewed the Parliamentarian.

He described Islamic Revolution as a major event in the history and praised the role of Imam Khomeini in leading Iranian nation in difficult times.

The lawmaker said the main achievement of Imam Khomeini was that he had used teachings of Holy Quran and Sunnah in establishing the Islamic political system in Iran. “He was truly a spiritual leader for the entire world,” noted the politician.

The religious leader said that Imam Khomeini with his great struggle had forced the Iranian nation to start Islamic Revolution.

Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan was of the view that the revolution had dispelled many misconceptions against Islam and depicted the true face of Islam.

He said that despite the western propaganda Islamic Revolution is flourishing in Iran which is a great achievement.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) leader said that rulers of majority of the Muslim countries are American puppets and pursuing American agenda.

“Imam Khomeini had righty pointed out that incompetent leadership is the real problem of Muslims,” viewed the legislator.

The Senator added that Muslims should be united. “We cannot be called Ummah until we are united,” he opined.
