PFLP: Political arrests in the West Bank, attempt to hinder elections

Jamil Mezher, member of the political bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), said the political detention and the systematic campaign against Palestinian youths at the hands of the Palestinian Authority’s security forces in the West Bank reflect an attempt to hinder the electoral process.

In a ceremony organized by the student action front of the PFLP Movement to honor top high school students, he said that elections is significant because of its role in building the Palestinian political regime based on national democratic and resistance bases.

He called on the PA and the PLO to shoulder their responsibilities towards Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails by internationalizing their issue and addressing all international institutions in order to expose Israeli aggressive practices against prisoners.
