Qassam commander released after 18 years of captivit


Al Qassam website- Gaza- Israeli occupation authorities released on Monday afternoon, May 16, 2011 the Qassam commander Attif Ata Hassan after 18 years of captivity in its jails.

After 18 years of cruel captivity and suffering , Israeli occupation authorities approved the release of the Palestinian Qassam commander Atif Ata Mohammed Hassan , 42, from the Al Mughraqa village at the central of Gaza Strip.

Cheerfully, huge mass rallies in central Gaza Strip have received the freed prisoner Hassan, while marchers have joined him to Al Nuseirat refugee camp and Az-Zahra town and then to his house in Al Mughraqa village.

Hassan was captured in 25/10/1993 by Israeli occupation forces after attacking his home in Al Nuseirat refugee camp with large numbers of Israeli occupation army soldiers.

Israeli occupation forces bombed Hassan’s house using destructive explosives.

Israeli occupation authorities postponed Hassan’s release for one week under the pretext of Israeli holidays.
