Infighting Intensified among Ankara-Backed Militants in Northern Aleppo

A number of terrorists were killed during heavy infighting among the militants backed by the Turkish army in the town of A’azaz in Northern Aleppo.

Local sources in A’azaz at the borders with Turkey reported on Saturday that a number of terrorists were killed and wounded during fierce clashes between the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA) militants and other terrorists called the ‘Free Police’.

They added that the clashes have imposed panic and horror among the civilians in the region.

Meantime, the FSA-affiliated Asefeh al-Shamal Brigade detained a number of militants who had engaged in clashes.

In a relevant development last Tuesday, the Turkish army troops entered the occupied town of Afrin in Northwestern Aleppo to end clashes between two Ankara-backed militant groups.

Sultan Murad militants engaged in a fresh round of clashes with Tajamo Ahrar al-Sharqiya that inflicted heavy casualties on both warring sides in the last two days.

The Turkish military vehicles arrived in Afrin to end the clashes.

In the meantime, Tajamo Ahrar al-Sharqiya affiliated to the Ankara-backed Free Syrian Army announced in a statement that two groups of Katiba al-Hamza and Liwa al-Montaser have been forced to cut off ties with Ahrar al-Sharqiya after the latter disobeyed orders.
