18th International Exhibition of Press and Media kicked off in the Iranian capital Tehran participated by Iranian and Foreign representatives. 18th International Exhibition of Press and Media kicked off in the Iral Tanian capitehran participated by Iranian and Foreign representatives.
The inauguration ceremony of the event was held in Grand Mussala of Imam Kheomeini (RA), attended by representatives from Iran and foreign countries including Mohammad Husseini, Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Ali Akbar Javanfekr, press deputy of the president and Professor Kazem Motamednejad, Iran’s father of journalism, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
This year the exhibition is held with the theme of , Qualitative Development and Purification of Media.

Mohammad Jafar Mohammadzadeh, Press Deputy of the Culture and Islamic Guidance in the inaugural speech said some conferences are to be held in relation with Econimic Jihad, theme chosen for the year by the Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei and for the international exhibition underway in Tehran.

On the other activities of the event, he said the exhibition also includes photo gallery, caricature gallery and also children’s department.

Representatives from more than 600 Iranian and 50 foreign press and news agencies are attending the exhibition.

Mohammad Husseini, Iran’s minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance said, “People with different views can be active in the field of media and pres.” calling representatives of media to defend ambitions of late Imam Khoemini (RA).

He also referred to the Iranian society as a young society and in need of a cheerful atmosphere to move towards development.

18th International Exhibition of Press and News Agencies is underway in Iran on October 25-Nvember 1st.
