Intensified Infighting Reported among Terrorists in Idlib amid Aleppo Comrades’ Arrival

The announcement was made after a an-hour-long meeting among the terrorist commanders in Kafr Oweid town, in which the difficult situation that the militants are facing was discussed, according to sources.

Reliable sources in Idlib said Tuesday that the Syrian army troops and popular forces’ devastating advances against Jeish al-Fatah terrorists in Aleppo city have pushed militants in Idlib into deep fear, disunity and collapse.

Sources added that pro-government forces’ advances against Jeish al-Fatah in the Eastern district of Aleppo have caused terrorists, who have been targeting residential areas in the besieged towns of Foua’a and Kafraya in Northern Idlib in recent days, to live in fear because analysts believe that the Syrian army will move toward Idlib province after setting Aleppo free.

The sources disclosed that the joint front of Ahrar al-Sham and Fatah al-Sham Front (previously known as the al-Nusra Front) is on the verge of imminent collapse. A large number of Ahrar al-Sham militants have announced separation from the group after their comrades were defeated in Aleppo city and have formed a new group named Jeish al-Ahrar. In the meantime, clashes have erupted between the defected members and loyalists to Ahrar al-Sham in the town of Homameh near Jisr al-Shughour.

Abdullah Muhammad al-Muhaysini, the religious leader of the Jeish al-Fatah coalition of terrorist groups, had also underlined the widening rifts among commanders of the militant groups, and added, “Commanders are just justifying the root cause of the existing rifts, while these rifts among the militants pushed the (militant groups’) ‘Great Epic Operation’ in Aleppo into total failure and a major, crushing defeat.”

The Saudi Mufti (religious leader) termed as fruitless the start of any fresh offensive by the militants given the absence of unity and widening gaps among the militants, and regretted that unity is no more of any use after the almost complete fall of Aleppo to the army and the recent evacuation of all militants from Damascus.
