Interior Minister: enemies’ plots backfire

Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar underscored that the enemies’ plots and conspiracies against the Islamic establishment have proved futile as they have consolidated unity and solidarity among the Iranian people.

“Enemies have always sought to overthrow the Islamic ruling system, but their conspiracies have proved counterproductive and further consolidated bonds of unity among the people,” Najjar said Sunday night.

Najjar, who also chairs the country’s National Security Council (NSC), further pointed out that enemies are seeking to harm the strong unity and solidarity existing among Muslim Shiites and Sunnis in Iran, and added, “The Islamic Republic of Iran is a country whose people have congregated around Velayat (religious leadership) in a united and integrated manner.”

“And this has angered and concerned the enemies,” he noted.

The minister praised Iran’s power, and said, “The Islamic of Republic of Iran is standing at the heights of power and glory in the international arena.”
